2013 The Year of Electronic Cigarettes, the Selfie and Twerking

2013 was the year the 'selfie' entered the Oxford English Dictionary.

David Cameron and US President Barack Obama were even seen posing for a selfie with Denmark PM Helle Thorning Schmidt during the memorial services for the late South African President Nelson Mandela on 10th December serving as confirmation of its new-found place in the English language.

We could not fail to mention the other newest entry into the Oxford English Dictionary, 'twerking'. This exploded into mainstream consciousness after Disney child star Miley Cyrus  performed the dance at the MTV video music awards in the summer.

And although they've been around for awhile now, 2013 has seen the biggest growth so far in the electronic cigarette market, turning them into not only a household name but a whole social community. This growth is set to continue and many celebrities are rumoured to be fans including Robbie Williams, Robert Pattinson, One Directions Zayn Malik and new father to be Simon Cowell.

We already know that the electronic cigarette industry will still be big in 2014 and beyond, but what else will 2014 bring?
